Genesys Works Names Kaye Patterson, Executive Vice President of Advancement

Houston, TX (December 14, 2007)

Genesys Works, a Houston-based 501(c)(3) non-profit has named Kaye Patterson, Executive Vice President of Advancement. Patterson began her tenure at Genesys in March 2007 as Executive Director. In her new role, Patterson will be responsible for local and national funding, as well as public relations and external affairs that will advance Genesys Works' identity and mission. As Executive Vice President of Advancement, Patterson's goals are to raise awareness about Genesys Works and the need for programs that supplement traditional education; develop civic leadership within the communities Genesys serves; and bring new resources to the organization that will foster future growth.

"Kaye has been extremely valuable to the current success of Genesys Works, and we look forward to continued development," says Rafael Alvarez, company founder and president. "As Genesys Works prepares for national expansion, Kaye's expertise will provide us with new visibility and initiatives that we will need moving forward."

After five years of operation in Houston, Genesys Works has provided valuable professional skills training to hundreds of high school students while at the same time servicing most of the city's largest Fortune 500 companies. Genesys enables challenged high school students to join the economic mainstream by providing them with the knowledge and real-work experience required to succeed as technical professionals.

More than 90 percent of Genesys Works' graduates enroll into college immediately after high school and receive major scholarships with the assistance of the Genesys Works College Connection program. Genesys Works is a program that directly provides real tools students can use to build a better life and in turn to create a better world.
