The goal of the Genesys Works
Business Operations Pilot is to prepare you with the technical and professional skills that will put you on a Path to Success in a career as a
business professional. You will start your training learning the basics of
business operation such as customer service and accounting. You will then learn the first levels of knowledge in
Audit and Workflows. When you finish your training and demonstrate that you are a mature professional worthy of an opportunity, you will be assigned to work in
business operations for one of the city's largest and best corporations during your senior year in high school.

Requirements to Enter the Genesys Works
Customer Operations Pilot
You must be a rising senior in a high school that is participating in the Genesys Works
Business Operations pilot program.
You must be legally able to work in the United States. You must have a Texas ID or driver's license and a Social Security Card that enables you to legally work in the United States.
You must be at least 16 years of age by August 1st of the current year.
You must be able to work in the afternoons during your senior year. Since this can conflict with other activities, you will have to make the choice before signing up with Genesys Works.
Regular attendance is crucial. Your participation in Genesys Works has to be a top priority.
You will have to provide your own transportation to and from Genesys Works and any worksites. Many of our students use public transportation.
You will have to meet the Genesys Works dress code and the dress requirements of our clients. This may mean you will have to upgrade your wardrobe.
Genesys Works is something you do in addition to your schoolwork. You must maintain good standing at school and at Genesys Works.
You must be recommended by your school counselor, principal or technology teacher.
You must be willing to invest your entire summer in an intensive training program.
The Genesys Works Schedule: Not just a Summer Commitment
Your intensive training begins the first day you walk into the 8 week summer training. Classes are four hours long Monday through Friday. You will attend either a morning or afternoon session. By August, students who excel in the program are placed in jobs. It is important to understand that a job is not guaranteed. You must earn the right to a job by having excellent attendance, a can do attitude, and a willingness to study hard and be a top performer.
Once you are working in a Genesys Works job at a client site such as El Paso Corporation or
Reliant Energy, you will continue your training once a week during Team Enrichment Meetings. These meetings give you the chance to improve on your technical and professional skills. In addition, you will need to attend the required meetings for the Genesys Works College Connection Program which will also be in the evenings on certain weeks.

Genesys Works includes a fully qualified staff of trainers who are dedicated to your success. Additionally, we are equipped with the technology you need to complete your hands-on training. Even so, the Genesys Works experience is a partnership between you and the program. It is your devotion, dedication and determination that will enable you to successfully complete the free engineering drafting training. Make no mistake, the program is challenging and competitive, and it will require your best efforts to succeed. Yet when you have completed your time with Genesys Works, you will join an elite group of individuals, the
Genesys Alumni, who are trained, qualified and certified to continue on the Path to Success and take control of their future.
