Breaking Through 2011- Recap
On October 11, 2011, Genesys Works - Chicago celebrated the Class 2 Young Professionals' completion of the summer training program. The 53 Young Professionals were joined by over 150 family members, friends, managers, alumni and funders at the UBS Tower to commemorate their achievement.
The ceremony included a heart-felt keynote address by Chairman of the Illinois Board of Education, Gery Chico who reminded students of the importance of taking advantage of opportunities and stressed the need for hard-work. Attendees also heard the personal stories of three featured Young Professionals, Kira Bowman, Omar Robles, and Jamaica Taylor as they eloquently shared their experiences, amazing the audience with their words and professionalism.
