Sponsors and Students Celebrate 20 Days, 20 Ways Training Completion at The Grove

n Wednesday, August 25th at The Grove on Discovery Green, approximately 100 guests joined Genesys Works' Houston Executive Director Sharon Jacobson and Founder/CEO Rafael Alvarez to celebrate the completion of training and placement for the 2010-2011 student interns. Ms. Jacobson briefly addressed the technical and life skills Genesys Works imparts to disadvantaged high school students to turn them into the work force of the future and inspire them to pursue college training upon graduation from high school. Event attendees included current and alumni student interns; leadership representatives from corporate sponsors; administrators from several area school districts including Houston ISD; and partnering companies.
