Texas DNS Pioneers the Genesys Alumni Scholarship Program by Providing Scholarships to College Sophomores and Juniors

Houston, TX (June 11, 2008)

Genesys Works is pleased to announce its newly-formed partnership with Texas Data Network Services (Texas DNS) to provide college scholarships to graduates of the Genesys Works program who are entering their second and third year of college. Initially, Texas DNS is providing the first two $1,000 scholarships. These scholarships represent a significant opportunity because students who have studied beyond their freshman year of college have proven that they can succeed in college and are more likely to finish their degree, but often find that scholarships become scarcer as they progress in their education.

"Our organization engages youth into a path to a professional career by helping them realize the benefits of working in corporate America and the need for a college education" says Rafael Alvarez, who founded Genesys Works in 2002. "Now, with the generosity of people like Chris Nicolaou from Texas DNS, we can provide some economic help and encouragement for our alumni to finish their college degree. We hope this is just the beginning and sparks other organizations to provide more scholarships for our alumni, a great investment of scholarship dollars".

Texas DNS, who has provided pro-bono information technology services to Genesys Works since its inception considers their scholarships a good investment for the community.

"Having personally met many of the Genesys Works students over the last few years, I am amazed by their determination to succeed, against many odds, and I just want to help them in whatever way I can", said Chris Nicolaou, President of Texas DNS. "I am proud of our association with Genesys Works".
Texas Data Network Services (Texas DNS) provides small to medium sized organizations with value based technology. Whether it is products, services, or consultation, their goal is always to guide businesses in making sound technology decisions that will ultimately improve their efficiency, increase revenues, or decrease overall costs.
