Once accepted into the Houston program, students commit to a year-long comprehensive program. Typically, you train for eight weeks in the summer, concentrating on one of the following areas: information technology, engineer drafting or accounting/finance. Students are also taught business etiquette, conflict resolution and proper communication skills. During the school year, students typically attend regular classes in the morning and work in the afternoon at one of the partnering corporations. Students are paid while working and gain valuable hands-on knowledge of the corporate world.
