Genesys Works is a nonprofit organization that trains and employs high school seniors to perform professional services for major corporations. Purpose of Position

Assist Chief People Officer with administering company-wide employee health & welfare benefit plans and programs. Coordinate medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 403(b) retirement plan, wellness, and LOA programs. This position supports the administration and reporting of all health, ancillary, and retirement benefit plans, programs, and services. Assist with employee inquiries and serve as a liaison between the benefits broker and plan carriers.

Key Responsibilities

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing and evaluating benefit plans and programs; assess areas of opportunity and risk. Understand, interpret, and communicate regulatory laws governing ERISA, ACA, ADAAA, COBRA, DOL, OSHA, and state mandated WC regulations.
  • Coordinate and manage annual benefits open enrollment process, wellness initiatives, and employee leaves such as FMLA, STD, LTD, etc.
  • Complete monthly benefits reconciliation of all carrier statements and ensure corrections/updates are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Complete initial filing and manage Workers’ Compensation claims, bills, and OSHA reporting.
  • Ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including reporting requirements related to the preparation and filing of the Form 5500, Summary Annual Reports (SARs), and other dissemination of mandatory participant disclosures.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with payroll, operations, and other HR team members.
  • Effectively model and champion the behavioral and decision-making values of Genesys Works.

Qualifications

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree
  • Passion for and strong alignment with the mission and vision of Genesys Works
  • Minimum (5) years employee benefits administration experience within a corporate HR and/or nonprofit environment
  • Solid understanding of regulatory laws governing ERISA, ACA, ADAAA, COBRA, FMLA, DOL, OSHA, and state mandated WC regulations
  • Current CEBS certification is a plus
  • At least 5 years demonstrated experience performing routine and complex tasks in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate knowledge of platforms such as HRConnection, Salesforce, Litmos, and NetSuite
  • Ability to learn new software quickly
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be highly analytical with a propensity for accuracy and details
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, meet deadlines, exercise excellent judgment, and provide sound guidance
  • Must successfully pass a background check
  • A current driver’s license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

Including, but not limited to standing and sitting for long periods of time; speaking loudly and clearly; seeing and hearing things both near and far away; and reaching, stooping, kneeling, and fine-finger and hand manipulation in use of a computer, chalkboard, dry erase board, or projector. Employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading. Employee may be required to walk for long distances at event venues, corporate partner locations, or other relevant sites. Most work environments are climate-controlled, open space floor plans.
